ABOUT ME
I am a real estate consultant and investor
Between me and my husband, we own 1 property each, 1 for our ownstay and 1 for investment.
That has actually given me the peace of mind to take a 2 years career break to be there for my daughter.
But the journey wasn’t easy… The 2 properties did not come overnight.
I was scared…
I was in a corporate job for 10 years, working from 9 to 5, trying to save as much money as I can. But the money just wasn’t growing and I was wondering how did people do it.
I do want to buy a property but I was scared to take on a bigger debt on that point. It feels very uncomfortable.
Eventually, I bought my first investment property and the down payment was $300,000. It was scary to pour all my savings into it. I would also have to pay a monthly installment progressively.
But after 6 months to a year, I realised the installment was still manageable and it hardly change my lifestyle.
And if I have not put my money aside in the installment as a way of growing my savings, I would have spent it on holidays and good food.
What I have learnt:
Over time, my property has appreciated and what I have learnt from this: instead of seeing this as a debt and having my money sitting in the bank just to earn that little interest, this is a form of growing my savings faster. If not, I would have spent it otherwise.
My Purpose
Today, we are proud to say that we have a property portfolio that provides us with that financial security and have the choice freedom to do what I want.
If you have read recent news, our generation may be priced out of the property market by the time they can buy a property. We are glad to plan this today so we are still able to have a property that we can pass on to our daughter.
I am on a mission to help families to build lasting wealth from the properties they own.
